Planet Earth was the first major BBC Earth production narrated by the most popular wildlife presentor, David Attenborough. Planet Earth was the start of all the great series the BBC Earth team have produced. This series highlights all of the Earth’s natural habitat’s. Planet Earth starts off with
episode one, From Pole to Pole. This show jouneys from the Northern hemisphere to the Southern hemisphere. It also films the world’s most endangerd animal, the amur leopard. The second episode is called Mountains which shows the many famous mountain ranges such as the Himalayas. It also shows the first footage ever seen of a snow leopard and even shows it hunting. The third episode is called Fresh Water and it shows many rivers and lakes. Fresh Water also shows all the organisms living inside the fresh waters, for example river otters are a prime fresh water inhabitant. The fourth episode is called Caves and it highlights many caves and what inhabits them. The fifth episode is called Deserts and it explains the hardships animals face of living in a desert. The sixth episode is named Ice Worlds and it shows wildlife inhabiting the far north and south. The seventh episode is called Great Plains and it highlights the many plains or grasslands around the world such as the Serengeti. The eighth episode is called Jungles and it shows all the organisms that live in a jungle such as frogs and insects. The ninth episode is called Shallow Seas which highlights
areas such as coral reefs and shows the many inhabitants living in this ecosystem. The tenth episode is called Seasonal Forests and it shows the forests of North America, India and other places. In this episode we see a tiger hunt and we revisit the amur leopard in a winter scenery. The twelfth and final episode in the Planet Earth series is called Ocean Deep and in this episode we visit the oceans deepest and darkest places.
