The new coronavirus has had a profound impact on a few species of wildlife. In many places, wildlife is reclaiming the home that was stolen from them by us. A great example of this would be in Wales: The white Great Orme Goats have reclaimed a town (The Atlantic) and have been found wandering the streets, walking on benches, eating hedges, and have been seen on rooftops.

This has been happening all around the world: a possible rare endangered civet was spotted sauntering along the streets of India.

Also, in Canada rare sightings of wild turkeys have been reported roaming down the streets of Montreal, something residents have never seen before. Wildlife is essentially coming back, and with it, much cleaner air and water ways. Last year, for example, the pollution of cities in India was so bad people had to wear masks. Now, with the lockdown in place, residents can for the first time breathe clean air. This miracle shows just how fast the natural world can recover.
