Habitat: Black bears are forest animals and can climb trees even when an adult. In spring, black bears come out to forage on open meadows are beside roads.

Food: Most of the black bear’s diet consists of plant material, berries, flowers, leaves, buds, fruits and roots are eaten. Black bears also eat insects, honey from bees, and young calf’s of caribou, deer, elk etc…..
